Historic Trinity Church- The South Dakota State Historical Society announced in early May 2016 that it had awarded a Historical Preservation Grant from the Deadwood Fund for the purpose of repairing the large altar window in the Historic Trinity Church in Groton. Groton Attorney Richard Kolker has incorporated a nonprofit organization, the Groton Historical Society, to oversee the care and preservation of the Church. The Brown County Historical Society, which has owned the Church since 1975, then deeded the property to the Groton Historical Society. The attached booklet accompanied the grant application, and provides a history of the Church and a description and photos of the windows to be repaired.
